Register Business Formally

Many small and home-based businesses operate informally, limiting their access to growth opportunities, legal protection, and government support. To address this gap, our foundation is launching a focused course on 'Registering Your Business Formally,' designed to empower entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs), and micro-entrepreneurs to establish a legal and recognized business entity. The course covers essential topics such as why formal business registration is crucial, the different types of business entities (Proprietorship, Partnership, SHG, MSME, etc.), and a step-by-step guide on how to register a business in India. Participants will also learn about applying for key registrations like PAN, GST, Udyam (MSME), and FSSAI (for food businesses), as well as understanding basic legal and compliance requirements. Additionally, the course will introduce bank account opening, invoice generation, and how to access government schemes, subsidies, and tenders through formal registration. By joining, entrepreneurs will gain the knowledge needed to transform their informal setup into a legally recognized business, gaining access to legal protection, financial resources, and new growth opportunities.

Access Microfinance or SHG Loans

Access to credit is crucial for building a stable and self-reliant future, yet many individuals and small groups lack the necessary information and guidance to tap into microfinance opportunities and SHG (Self-Help Group) loan schemes. To bridge this gap, our foundation is offering a practical course designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs, women's collectives, and community members access Microfinance and SHG Loans. The course covers a range of topics, including an introduction to SHGs, how they function, and the process of forming or joining one. Participants will learn about the different types of loans available through SHGs and microfinance institutions (MFIs), the documentation required, loan eligibility, and how to responsibly manage loans for business growth or meeting essential needs. The course also covers government schemes that support SHGs, like NRLM and DAY-NULM, and provides guidance on avoiding over-borrowing and handling debt responsibly. By the end of the course, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to apply for and manage loans effectively, ultimately helping them start or expand their businesses and contribute to their family and community's financial stability.
